
Approximately a month before the official start of the winter season, the capital of Mexico begins to experience low temperatures during the night and early morning hours. The Secretariat of Integral Risk Management and Civil Protection of Mexico City has activated a yellow alert for cold in seven municipalities, where temperatures between 4 to 6 degrees are expected. These areas are Álvaro Obregón, Cuajimalpa, Magdalena Contreras, Milpa Alta, Tláhuac, Tlalpan, and Xochimilco.
In light of the cold season approaching, recommendations have been issued to protect oneself from extreme temperatures. Some of these recommendations include: visiting a doctor in case of respiratory problems, staying hydrated by drinking plenty of water, fruits, and vegetables rich in vitamins A and C, properly covering the nose and mouth, and avoiding sudden temperature changes.
For the coming hours, a warm environment is expected in Mexico City, with mist and partly cloudy skies, with no chance of rain. The maximum temperature will range between 25 and 27 degrees, while the minimum will be around 11 degrees. In Toluca, State of Mexico, temperatures will vary between 2 and 4 degrees as a minimum, and between 22 and 24 degrees as a maximum.
On Wednesday, November 13, a cold to cool environment is expected in the early morning hours in Mexico City, with warm temperatures in high areas and the presence of fog and mist. In the afternoon, a temperate to warm environment will prevail with partly cloudy skies and no rain in Mexico City and the State of Mexico. Temperatures will range between 7 and 9 degrees as a minimum, and between 25 and 27 degrees as a maximum.
